FLORIDA’S NEWEST "HURRICANE PROTECTED" HARBOR - The Riviera Dunes Harbor is a once-in-a-lifetime engineering feat - a former enclosed dolomite mine, the harbor bottom was graded to an 18' deep sea bottom and two "cuts" (one navigable) were constructed which allow boaters direct access to the Manatee River, which leads to the Gulf of Mexico. In addition to a total of three planned community marinas, planned condominium marina, and public marina, lot owners with homes abutting the harbor will be permitted to construct their own private docks.
